Height Length Width in Spanish
Today I want to talk about altura (height), longitud (length) and anchura (width).
Remember: adjectives in Spanish language are classified by gender and number therefore you must write them with articles and gender, plural or singular.
Altura (height) to describe how high or tall something is.
- Una montaña alta (a high mountain) - Dos montañas altas (two high mountains).
- Un hombre alto (a tall man) - Dos hombres altos (two high men).
Longitud (length) to describe how long or short something is. Here we can find two words:
- Largo/a (long) - Largos/as (long) - Un día largo (a long day) - Una calle larga (a long street).
- Corto/a (short) - Cortos/as (short) - Pelo corto (a short hair) - Línea corta (short line).
Anchura (width) to describe how wide or narrow something is. Here we can find two words. Here we can find two words:
- Ancho/a (wide) - Anchos/as (wide) - Una avenida ancha (a wide avenue).
- Angosto/a (narrow) - Angostos/as (narrow) - Una calle angosta (a narrow street).
The Head in Spanish
Here are the parts of the head in Spanish.
La cabeza (head)
El pelo (hair) - Los pelos (hairs)
La oreja (ears) - Las orejas (ears)
La frente (forehead)
- Frente ancha (wide forehead)
- Frente estrecha/pequeña (narrow forehead)
La ceja (eyebrow) - Las cejas (eyebrows)
- Cejas gruesas (thick eyebrows)
- Cejas finas (thin eyebrows)
La pestaña (eyelash) - Las pestañas (eyelashes)

Spanish language has five vowels.
They are: A - E - I - O - U
There are two categories for these vowels order by sound
- Strong: A (pronounce like father) - E (pronounce like elephant) - O (pronounce like bought)
- Weak: I (pronounce like bit) - U (pronounce like boot)
